How to Get Direct Primary Care AND Alternative Care Under One Roof - Sacred Space Therapeutics

If you’re like most people, at some point you either had or will have some sort of physical problem that requires you to go to multiple healthcare providers.
For example, I once had an issue with my foot. I went to my insurance-approved general practitioner who sent me to a podiatrist who ultimately sent me to a physical therapist. Each time, I had to locate a practitioner who could see me in a reasonable amount of time, explain the whole problem over again and then explain to each what the others had done.
Since I’m an auto broker, not a medical professional, this wasn’t necessarily the most accurate way to share the information.
These days, I don’t use the insurance general practitioner anymore. Now I use Direct Primary Care (DPC), where I have more ways to contact the doctor and I pay a flat monthly fee. I like it because the doctor knows my name and remembers me from appointment to appointment since she spends more than 15 minutes with me.
I get much better medical care this way, but here’s the catch: if I want alternative therapies like chiropractic, acupuncture, massage, nutrition, or mental health support then I have to go outside the system and the bad communication starts all over again.
That’s why I was so intrigued when I spoke with Amanda Farrell, founder of Sacred Space Therapeutics, a holistic healthcare collaborative that goes beyond primary care to integrate Eastern and Western medicine. Amanda has built a practice that isn't just about treating symptoms—it’s about truly supporting long-term wellness.
Sacred Space Therapeutics has an experienced Nurse Practitioner on staff who offers medical Direct Primary Care. She offers all of the benefits of a DPC practice, such as longer appointments and personalized acute and consultative care, but she also offers something no one else does!
Sacred Space also offers alternative care under the same roof!
They offer a subscription that gives the client access to acupuncture, massage and other modalities. Since the practitioners meet and discuss cases, they can suggest ways in which their expertise can help individual clients. And best of all, in my opinion, the client doesn’t have to relay all the information between practitioners. They can speak to each other directly!
“If you want to add more years to your life and more life to your years, you need to start focusing on preventative healthcare now,” says Amanda.
Her practice isn’t just about treating sickness—it’s about keeping people well. And after everything we’ve seen in recent years, I think we can all agree: we need a healthcare model that actually helps people feel better, not just one that reacts when things go wrong.
Sacred Space Therapeutics is showing that this model is possible. Cash-pay membership care can include alternative medicine, truly integrated providers, and a focus on prevention—without breaking the bank.
